In January I took part in Forced Collaboration, a project by Falmouth based artist Georgia Gendall.
“Forced Collaboration is an online platform that matches artist’s practices anonymously and creates a space for cross-disciplinary collaborations through the process of making/following instructions to create artworks.”

I think I was only mildly ill with Covid when I sent in my instructions. When I received my instructions I was extremely ill and bedridden. The only act of “hospitality” I could offer was to share my sickbed, and so I offered some space to one of the plants in my room; a cactus. For a couple of hours over a few days it got better light from the bed than it would have on its usual shelf. It shared some coffee and water with me which it wouldn’t have done ordinarily, and I drew it while we just hung out.
